Ascension is an abstract portrait of something who goes higher and higher. The audience can imagine what they want about. The piece is structured in two part, the first is very mysterious, and on the second part everything become brighter and a choral emerges, the piece ends in a triumphant finale. Ascension was commissioned by the Lyon Metropole Orchestra conducted by Yoann Combémorel.
