Hearing the Earth is a four movements work, dedicated to the beauty and majesty of our planet and nature. There is no clear dramaturgy or story, the four movements are a description coming from the imagination of the composer. The first part Gaïa's hymn introduces the melody of the work, showing a sunrise of the nature. The four elements is the second movement, which breaks the quiet atmosphere of the introduction. It shows the elements (Earth, Water, Fire and Wind) fighting against each other. Each element is represented by some instruments, an interval (tritone for Earth, fourth for Water, major third for Fire, and minor third for Wind), and all those elemenets are linke by a series of fourths.

After a soprano saxophone cadenz, we go to the third movement, Our vulnerable planet... shows the fragility and the beauty of the Earth, and the fact that we have to take care of it.

In the last movement, Her Power... the planet finds the way to make the four elements coexist and shows how the Earth can impose her power on the living beings.
