Het Eurovisiesongfestival 1973 was de achttiende editie van het Eurovisie Songfestival en werd gehouden in Luxemburg en het festival werd gewonnen door Anne-Marie David die Luxemburg vertegenwoordigde met haar lied Tu Te Reconnaîtras. Het bekendste liedje van dit festival werd echter de Spaanse inzending met Eres Tu. De componisten van de Spaanse inzending, Eres tú, werden beschuldigd van plagiaat. Het zou namelijk lijken op de Joegoslavische inzending van 1966. Eres tú werd niet gediskwalificeerd. Volgens sommige critici had dit politieke redenen: Franco's Spanje zou meer tot de kern van Europa behoren dan Tito's Joegoslavië. Het lied eindigde uiteindelijk als tweede en werd een grote internationale hit. Eres Tú (English: That's you) is a popular Spanish language song written in 1973 by Juan Carlos Calderón and performed by the Spanish Basque band Mocedades. This song also has an English version entitled Touch the Wind with lyrics by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans. This song was chosen as Spain's entry in the 1973 Eurovision Song Contest.
